What customers say?

“ A classic, friendly diner tucked away in a residential area. The food is your typical diner breakfast, which is good but nothing groundbreaking, but a good price. Service was fast and friendly and my coffee mug was always full. Worth a stop for breakfast! ”

“ This cafe is true to its name...Cosy. It can seat around 25 people. Food is great and the price .... Well take a look at the menu . The atmosphere is friendly almost family like. You don't have to wait long for your food and portion size is moderate. I have eaten here a half dozen times and will continue to eat here. There isn't many places were you get great bang for your buck, this place is one of them. ”

- James Bush -

“ This place is my absolute favorite of all the breakfast places in Nova Scotia! The food is hearty and tastes amazing, the vibe and staff of this place is the friendliest, most welcoming I have ever seen and this is not an easy feat in Canada :) I've been eating here for over 4 years and this place and I'm not changing that anytime soon! :) ”

- Szilárd Kozma -

“ Good place to grab brunch! The restaurant was cute and cozy, we felt comfortable eating there. We got steak and eggs, and egg Benedict, which came with a good portion! They seemed to have marinated the steak, so it tasted so good!!! The servers were super friendly and helpful, which was a plus. Love this cute restaurant and def will be back soon. ((They only accept Debit, no credit card)) ”

“ It’s breakfast time!! We first discovered this place during the pandemic. Today was the first time eating inside instead of getting take out. My wife got the 3x3x3 breakfast which comes with 3 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, 3 sausages and toast. She got baloney instead of bacon. I got the 2 eggs and bacon breakfast which comes with toast (I got multigrain.). I also ordered coffee. The eggs were done perfectly. My bacon was well done (just how I like it) and the multigrain toast was delicious. The coffee was standard diner coffee. We both enjoyed our meals and will certainly be back. We started eating and then remembered to take pictures. Pros: Calm and cosy atmosphere. Plus the staff are nice, polite, and the owner is always checking in with the customers. There are hockey pictures and stuff on the walls (mostly Canadiens) Cons: They offer sugar twin but not Splenda. As a newly diagnosed diabetic I try to use Splenda (Sucralose) whenever possible and try to avoid Aspartame. ”

“ Cozy just like the name. Definitely a favorite that's just up the road from my sister's house. Always get lucky when it comes to finding seats. This is a very popular diner because of the delicious food and big servings! ”

- Joanna Crosby -

“ Traveled from out of town and stumbled upon this cozy breakfast joint. With no frills but just wholesome, breakfast kindness, it felt like I was welcome to the neighborhood. The charm of friendly locals chatting over hockey and local parks and the weather, sipping coffee and (literally) knitting sweaters as they enjoyed another morning of being alive. Thank you to the manager who allowed me to leave to find an ATM after my debit card failed to read. I recommend this place to any one looking for something authentic in Halifax. ”

“ This is a truly special spot for community and some good comfort foods. The owners treat and serve you like you're their family. Highly recommend! ”
